☕️ Gremlins walked so Labubu could run

Good morning. In the hit 1984 movie Gremlins, small, adorable creatures called Mogwai multiply if they get wet — and, if fed after midnight, transform into rapidly multiplying, mischievous creatures known as Gremlins. Despite receiving a clear warning from antique shop owner Mr. Wing, the story’s protagonist decides to throw YOLO to the wind, and naturally, havoc ensues. I mean, would they really make a movie about it if it all turned out well? This same plotline applies to my coffee mug collection.

One mug turns into twenty, and suddenly you’re staring down a sea of ceramic that by definition, is considered a collection. Nothing screams, “OMG, I totally forgot to get him a souvenir,” quite like a sports team coffee cup from an airport gift shop. Not mad, just saying.

Fortunately for us, defeating an overgrown mug collection is much easier than dealing with an army of wet, overfed Mogwai. It just involves some determination, a cardboard box, and a trip to Goodwill. Want to know the best part of donating those old mugs? Buying new ones!
